The Strategic Environmental Conservation (SEC) is the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) formed in the year 2004 and got registered in January 2005 under the societies ordinance CAP. 337,1954. With the certificate of registration SO.NO. 12994., allowing the organization to perform its duties and pronouncing its recognition legally. The Strategic Environmental Conservation (SEC) is an association of Tanzania aimed at ensuring environmental conservation through awareness creation and capacity building.

To facilitate, enhance and promote community participation and all other important stakeholders to use and management of the environment for the purpose of sustainability

OBJECTIVES

    * To create and develop a society that will ensure conservation of the environment and natural resource in general  

    * To introduce aspect of sustainability in the exploitation of natural resource especially land
    *
    * To provide capacity building for environmental care providers and other related community resource person working in environment fields
    *
    *  To provide consultancy services in developing and carrying out operations research baseline and needs assessment including testing or piloting of alternative environment strategies and interventions
    *
    * To cooperate with other organizations in Tanzania or elsewhere in conducting researches, environmental health interventions and/or evaluation of the environmental health programs.
    *
    * To organize, facilitate, and coordinate workshops, seminars, technical meeting on an environmental related fields
    *
    *  To provide consultancy services in carrying out logistic assessment of the environmental damages
